Getting started
Download and installation
- Download latest version of MultiMachineBuilder here
- Get the zip file, not the source code
- Unzip the file
- Put the game somewhere convenient
Gameplay
- Run the ‘Machine Builder.jar’ file
- Click on ‘New world’ to create a world.
- Specify dimensions. The actual dimensions are (2×width+1), (2×height+2). Larger world offer more resources, but consume more system resources.
- Name the world, without a file extension
- Chunk size defines how large biomes are in blocks. You won’t need to change this value.
- The seed can be copied to reproduce the world later.
- Select the world generator. For survival, ‘Multi-biome’ is recommended.
- Click ‘OK’ to create a world.
- Open the world
- Play the game
- After finishing, you can quit to desktop or to main menu
Basic controls
- W, A, S, D - move the camera
- Q - stop the character now
- Arrows - move the player (the player has momentum)
- LMB - place the block or use the item
- RMB - open a pop-up menu
- Shift+LMB - force place
- Shift+MMB - move camera to this block
- Shift+RMB - force mine
- Ctrl+LMB - turn counter-clockwise
- Ctrl+RMB - turn clockwise
- Ctrl+MMB - turn around
Basic gameplay
Survival
- Mine wood logs first
- Make a crafting table and a pickaxe workbench
- Make a wooden pickaxe
- Mine some stone and Rudimentary Ore
- Make a furnace
Make tree(s) - Smelt Rudimentary Ore to Rudimentary Ingots and some to Medium rudimentary wire
- Make ULV Furnace Generator and ULV Electric Furnace
Make Rudimentary Pickaxe
Mine coal - Make Crusher to increase ore output
- Make Cluster Mill, Wiremill, Material Combiner and Material Splitter
- Mine gold, silver, copper, iron, nickel;
- Make Machine Assembler
- Make machine parts
- Make VLV Furnace Generator and VLV Electric Furnace
- Make VLV Alloy Smelter
Mine tin, zinc and chrome - Smelt Bronze, Brass, Steel and Nichrome
- Make some VLV machines

Creative
- Use the copy tool to quickly build repeating sections
- Make anything you like in Creative Mode. Good for testing potential survival machines

Install mods
- For local mods, copy a mod to the mods directory (press [Mods/Open mods directory])
- If you want to play modded without downloading mods, paste a direct link (not a web link) into [Settings/External mods]
